According to a Consultant at the Basomedi Offices, one of the Golden Rules is to never be late! Make sure you know where you are going in terms of the area, suburb, street, building number and contact person. Should you be late for any reason inform your Consultant immediately. Make sure you have a fresh breath mint available and try to avoid smoking prior to the interview; : you never know how small that interview room is going to be! Ensure that you are neatly and corporately dressed for the interview, as first impressions last! Remember when it comes to accessories and jewellery: Less is more! One of our Consultant's has just interviewed a Candidate and her question was: "Is it OK to wear casual clothes and crocs to an interview?" If you are going to the agency, dress smart for your interview. When attending an interview at a Company do research on the Company to determine what their dress code is, but when in doubt - ask your Consultant! Be neat and presentable, there is nothing wrong by making an effort with yourself, interviewers notice this!

Our Consultants at Basomedi recommend meeting your interviewer with a smile, being friendly while making eye contact and greet them in a confident manner. Shake hands and introduce yourself properly and make sure you are getting the correct pronunciation of the interviewers' Name & Surname. Be polite and well mannered, it will definitely pay off! Guess what? We are indoors! So you can take off your sunglasses! Prepare yourself for these questions: What do you know about this company? Ensure that you have done your research on the Internet, read Newspapers, listen to the News. Be informed and well prepared. If you do NOT want the position / job: Answer your cell phone during the interview Be arrogant and aggressive Communicate poorly Do not prepare for the interview Do not bring a CV and your important documents Badmouth previous employer or manager Dress inappropriately: Too tight, too short, too open Be late without informing anyone Chew gum while talking
